The local anesthetic wears off gradually, and you'll feel normal sensation return — this is expected and normal. For days 1 through 4, expect mild soreness. Some tenderness when chewing for two to four days is expected, and it's easily managed with over-the-counter ibuprofen — simple relief. Getting back to daily life is simple: soft foods the first day, then resume your normal diet. Chew on the other side until you get the crown.
